About the Role

The Senior Vice President of Operations leads executive management over Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials Management, Procurement, production planning, inventory control, and continuous process improvement. This position is responsible for converting customer demand and company strategy into dependable production outputs, product availability, cost efficiencies, quality standards, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated sales and operations planning, including demand-supply synchronization, capacity planning, master scheduling, material availability, inventory management, manufacturing execution, and finished goods planning.
  • Develop and execute company-wide operations strategy aligned with corporate and regional goals.
  • Provide executive leadership across manufacturing operations, cultivating a culture prioritizing safety, accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing operations leadership team through coaching, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
  • Lead transformational efforts to enhance operational capabilities and overall business performance.
  • Advise the Executive Leadership Team on manufacturing strategy, risks in operations, investments, and operating metrics.
  • Collaborate with Regional Operational Centers of Excellence to apply enterprise best practices while adapting to local operational needs for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related discipline is required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Executive-level experience managing complex multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, capital planning, operational transformation, and handling organizational change.
  • Strong ability to cultivate high-performing teams and improve metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, cost control, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Preferred certifications include APICS CPIM or CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, ISO quality systems experience, global or multi-site leadership experience, and collaboration with regional or enterprise Centers of Excellence.

Physical Demands

  • Office-based work environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift materials or boxes weighing up to 10 pounds.
  • Work involves computer use, telephone communication, and interaction with employees and customers.
  • Effective reading, writing, listening, and communication skills required.
