About the business
BNY’s Corporate Trust division supports global debt capital markets by acting as a neutral fiduciary and agency partner for issuers and investors. The team handles services across corporate and municipal bonds, structured finance, project finance, and loan syndications. In addition to trustee and paying agent responsibilities, the business helps protect assets, manage payment processes, and support contractual and regulatory obligations for clients around the world.

- Act as the main escalation contact for a portfolio of high-value clients, delivering prompt, practical, and proactive support.
- Create and run retention plans that deepen client loyalty and open up new opportunities for engagement.
- Track client health through periodic reviews, performance measures, and feedback, then take preventative action where needed.
- Work closely with teams across Operations, Product, Risk, and Legal to provide smooth service and solve complex problems.
- Partner with Client Coverage Sales and Relationship Management teams to support service delivery and future commercial growth.
- Stay ahead of client needs by monitoring market movements, regulatory developments, and internal change initiatives, then offering informed solutions.
- Represent client interests internally so feedback informs product design, service upgrades, and process improvements.
- Maintain strong governance, risk, and compliance standards in all client-facing activity.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings several years of experience in operations, client service, or relationship management within Corporate Trust or a closely related financial services environment. A bachelor’s degree is required, and an MBA is preferred. Success in the role also depends on strong client retention results, excellent communication and negotiation ability, and a strategic, analytical approach to client health and problem solving.
