Senior Transport Planner

About the Role

Skyline Architectural Consultant is seeking a seasoned Transport Planner with 5 to 7 years of experience to contribute to urban planning, infrastructure development, transportation projects, and government consultancy initiatives based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive transportation, mobility, and traffic planning studies tailored to urban infrastructure.
• Conduct detailed traffic surveys and perform traffic impact analyses to understand current and future transportation needs.
• Analyze traffic flow patterns, road capacities, travel behaviours, and overall transportation demand.
• Formulate recommendations for optimizing road networks, intersections, public transit systems, parking provisions, pedestrian pathways, and non-motorized transport infrastructure.
• Support transport demand estimation and utilize modeling approaches to forecast transportation trends.
• Prepare and compile Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Master Plans, Mobility Plans, feasibility studies, technical documentation, and presentation materials.
• Devise strategies for traffic circulation and mobility management that enhance urban mobility.
• Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary teams including urban planners, architects, civil engineers, GIS analysts, clients, and government bodies.
• Perform site visits to evaluate transportation conditions and verify data accuracy.
• Create detailed transportation drawings, maps, and other planning deliverables.
• Ensure all planning adheres to Indian transportation standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Transport Planning, Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or related discipline.
• Between 5 and 7 years of hands-on experience in transport planning, traffic engineering, mobility planning, or infrastructure consultancy.
• In-depth knowledge of urban transport systems, traffic operations, and mobility planning principles.
• Proven ability to prepare technical reports and deliver effective presentations.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for transportation design.
• Experience in GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS for spatial data analysis.
• Competency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with transport planning and traffic modeling software.
• Strong analytical skills alongside excellent communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
• Experience working on government or large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
