Role Overview
Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced recruiting leader to establish and guide its direct hire talent acquisition function for the construction sector. This remote role is intended for someone based in Florida and offers the chance to shape strategy, develop recruiters, and place skilled construction professionals across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, industrial, and commercial construction disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end direct hire recruitment for management- and executive-level construction roles.
- Hire, coach, and manage a high-performing recruiting team.
- Create sourcing plans, recruiting campaigns, and long-term talent pipelines.
- Work closely with business leaders to align workforce planning with hiring priorities.
- Source and recruit Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Superintendents, Safety Leaders, Operations Managers, Executives, and other construction talent.
- Leverage tools and channels such as LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, ATS/CRM systems, Indeed, referrals, and networking to engage passive candidates.
- Track performance metrics including placements, submittals, time-to-fill, revenue impact, and candidate quality.
- Travel within Florida and to other markets as needed, up to 40%, for client meetings, team collaboration, and industry events.
Candidate Profile
- Must live in Florida.
- Bring 7–10+ years of direct hire recruiting experience in the construction industry.
- Have recruited for Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Industrial, Engineering, or Commercial Construction roles.
- Demonstrate prior success in building, mentoring, and leading recruiting teams.
- Show strong client-facing ability and a business development mindset.
- Have a track record of performing well in a metrics-led recruiting environment.
Compensation and Benefits

Technology and Tools
Day-to-day work will involve LinkedIn Recruiter, ZoomInfo, ATS/CRM platforms, Indeed, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, and other modern sourcing and recruiting tools.
