Job description
Role overview
KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is hiring on behalf of Comfort Systems USA for an experienced facilitator who can deliver leadership and organizational development programs across a large, nationwide mechanical contracting business. The position is remote within the United States, with a preference for someone based near a major airport because frequent travel is required.
This role is centered on delivery, not course creation. The leadership curriculum already exists and has been tested. The person in this role will bring those programs to life through strong facilitation, coaching, and audience engagement, helping leaders at every level turn leadership concepts into everyday behaviors.
Success will depend on quickly earning trust, speaking effectively to both senior executives and field teams, and making leadership ideas practical, memorable, and easy to apply. The role is also expected to reinforce the company’s culture and values while supporting long-term leader development across multiple operating companies.
Responsibilities
- Lead leadership development sessions for executives, managers, supervisors, and frontline employees.
- Use existing training material and adapt delivery style to suit different audiences.
- Establish credibility with leaders across multiple operating companies throughout the country.
- Turn leadership theory into practical actions that employees can use right away.
- Create interactive sessions that encourage participation, reflection, and accountability.
- Coach leaders through a servant-leadership lens built on trust, communication, and responsibility.
- Recognize group dynamics and shift facilitation methods as needed during the session.
- Work with internal subject matter experts to prepare for effective program delivery.
- Support and strengthen Comfort Systems USA’s culture and core values in every interaction.
- Keep improving participant engagement, retention, and learning outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Corporate Training, Leadership Development, or Executive Facilitation.
- Demonstrated ability to run leadership programs for varied employee groups.
- Strong presentation skills, communication skills, and executive presence.
- Comfort and credibility when working with both senior leaders and frontline field employees.
- Background supporting large organizations spread across multiple locations.
- Exposure to leadership frameworks such as Dale Carnegie, FranklinCovey, Situational Leadership, Crucial Conversations, or similar approaches.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to manage complex group interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though equivalent professional experience may be accepted.
- Remote work location within the United States.
- Willingness and ability to travel about 80 to 100 days per year, typically in 3 to 4 day trips.
- Preference for candidates located near a major airport.
Additional information
This is a full-time remote role based in the United States. The anticipated compensation is approximately $150,000 in base pay, plus bonus eligibility. Travel is an important part of the job, with multi-day facilitation trips to Comfort Systems USA operating companies nationwide.
Why this role matters
Leadership development is a major strategic investment for Comfort Systems USA. This role helps shape current and future leaders across dozens of operating companies, supporting stronger culture, better employee engagement, and long-term business success. The goal is not only to teach leadership, but to help make it a consistent practice throughout the organization.
