Role overview
Twilio is looking for a Senior Strategic Account Executive to oversee and grow relationships with some of its largest communications platform customers. The role focuses on messaging, voice, and email services, with particular ownership of enterprise accounts in India and Thailand. You will lead highly consultative, analytical sales processes centered on upselling and cross-selling within complex, large-scale, compliance-driven customer environments.
This position reports to the RVP, Strategic Account, Rest of Asia. Success in the role depends on close collaboration with product, finance, support, services, and operations teams.
What you will do
- Own and grow key accounts, including fast-scaling companies in technology, retail, eCommerce, and fintech.
- Create and execute account strategies that improve revenue, gross margin, and gross profit performance.
- Work with internal teams to uncover and convert new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio.
- Operate as part of a cross-functional account team with members from product, finance, support, and services.
- Maintain a structured forecast process, deliver target outcomes consistently, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead consultative sales engagements with major customers by uncovering needs, listening carefully, and representing customer priorities internally.
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of combined experience in major account or strategic sales, working with quantitative and highly analytical products or solutions.
- Background supporting customer accounts in India.
- Experience handling relationship management, solution consulting, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Comfort engaging both business and technical stakeholders while building trust and alignment.
- Strong history of producing revenue and gross profit growth for enterprise clients, especially across Asia.
- Data-driven approach to account planning and opportunity identification.
- Experience with forecasting, financial models, and MEDDPICC.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to define processes and build programs.
- Hindi speaking and writing skills are preferred for work with Indian customers.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with CDP and CPaaS solutions.
- Exposure to SaaS, CPaaS, or CDP solution selling for both technical and business audiences.
- Understanding of the customer experience business model, including CDP plus CPaaS.
- Experience working with high-tech enterprise customers in India.
Location and travel
This role is remote and based in Singapore. Around 30% travel is expected for in-person customer and team engagement.
