Position Overview

The Walt Disney World Resort is seeking a Senior Specialist in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to assist in strategizing and executing community impact programs, philanthropic efforts, volunteer engagement, and stakeholder interactions that enhance the company's reputation and foster meaningful contributions to Central Florida communities.

This role is vital in advancing Disney's CSR goals by administering initiatives that align corporate objectives with societal needs. The Senior Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver engaging programs promoting employee participation, nonprofit support, and reinforcing Disney's commitment to positive community impact.

The position reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement Walt Disney World's CSR strategies and annual objectives.
  • Collaborate in developing and managing CSR initiatives that correspond with business goals and local community demands.
  • Oversee projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on program outcomes and performance metrics.
  • Manage outreach, nonprofit collaborations, and philanthropic activities throughout Central Florida.
  • Handle charitable donations, grant processes, and community engagement events.
  • Organize community service projects, recognition programs, and special events.
  • Foster lasting connections with nonprofits, community leaders, educational bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the Disney VoluntEARS program, including volunteer events and opportunities.
  • Recruit volunteers, manage event logistics, communications, recognitions, and measure volunteer impact.
  • Advocate for volunteer participation and assist in employee engagement strategies.
  • Build and sustain relationships among internal departments, nonprofit entities, civic leaders, and external partners.
  • Serve as a liaison to ensure smooth collaboration and successful program execution.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for leadership and community partners.
  • Represent the CSR team at various community and volunteer engagements.
  • Maintain accurate program records including documentation, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder databases.
  • Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to assess program efficacy and guide future initiatives.
  • Develop executive summaries and impact reports.
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with company policies, branding, and community objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in CSR, public affairs, communications, philanthropy, nonprofit sectors, external affairs, or human resources.
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational skills, and multitasking capability.
  • Experience in planning events, volunteer coordination, community outreach, or philanthropic programming.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work both independently and within teams.
  • High attention to detail with commitment to quality execution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Willingness to work varied hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Preferred: Experience with nonprofit collaborations, corporate citizenship, social impact strategies, and volunteer programs.
  • Experience in report and dashboard development for impact measurement.
  • Knowledge of the Walt Disney World operations and the Central Florida nonprofit environment.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.

Compensation and Additional Information

The salary range for this role in Florida is between 91000 and 121900 USD annually. Compensation offered will weigh internal equity and factors such as geographic location, candidate knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional benefits may include bonuses, long-term incentives, and comprehensive medical and financial benefits depending on the role level and position fulfilled.
