Job description
Position Summary
This role sits within the Regional Marketing function and is central to expanding a strong, profitable pharmaceutical portfolio for A. Menarini Asia Pacific. The position is responsible for creating, planning, and delivering regional brand plans, as well as introducing creative marketing initiatives that strengthen Menarini’s presence in the assigned portfolio area.
In addition, the role shapes future portfolio direction by identifying in-licensing and partnership opportunities that can broaden the company’s regional portfolio. It leads marketing campaigns and programs in close coordination with country marketing teams and works closely with Regional Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Alliance Management, and Finance teams. The role carries ownership for business results and return on investment, while also guiding countries on improving financial performance and allocating resources effectively. It also coordinates the regional cross-functional team and communicates brand strategy to AMAP countries under the direction of the Regional Commercial Head, Pharmaceuticals.
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Drive strong launch execution and commercial excellence for new products within the regional portfolio.
- Lead the brand planning process, build regional brand plans, and provide direction to country-level plans so they stay aligned.
- Develop and implement effective brand and portfolio strategies.
- Work closely with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Supply Chain, and Alliance Management teams across all brand management activities, including launch readiness and execution.
- Create regional marketing and educational programs in both traditional and digital formats, keeping them aligned with brand strategy and developed in consultation with country marketing leaders.
- Choose the right marketing mix based on a deep understanding of the market conditions across different countries.
- Define key performance indicators and track brand results to support strong financial performance and competitiveness.
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders and develop brand advocates.
Commercial Operations
- Ensure high standards of execution for marketing programs and field-force activities through collaboration with the Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) team.
- Support the SFE team and countries by providing strong training materials.
Market Intelligence and Analysis
- Perform detailed market analysis and forecasting to improve brand performance.
- Use multiple information sources to closely follow the competitive environment and optimize portfolio results.
- Identify, assess, and follow through on specific commercial opportunities proactively.
Portfolio Design and Product Life Cycle Management
- Act as a strategic architect for the portfolio and support effective product life cycle management from pre-launch through late-stage and mature products.
- Build a strong understanding of new products, market dynamics, disease areas, and clinical data, and turn that knowledge into successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Provide market intelligence, analysis, and business cases that support business development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, or Medicine, preferably paired with an MBA.
- At least 8 years of marketing experience in a large pharmaceutical multinational company, including a minimum of 3 years in regional roles.
- Proven experience managing brands across different stages of the product lifecycle, with a successful track record in product launches.
- Experience in oncology, specialty care, and/or cardio-metabolic therapy areas is an advantage.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning capability.
- Hands-on approach with a bias toward execution and delivery.
