Role Overview
As the Senior Manager of Recruiting for EMEA, you will lead a dedicated team of recruiters responsible for non-quota and R&D hiring across engineering, sales engineering, marketing, corporate functions, and more. Your goal is to establish and maintain a recruiting function that consistently attracts top-tier talent, enhancing processes with clear role definitions, robust assessment techniques, and superior candidate experiences.
Reporting to the Director of Recruiting for EMEA, you will be the primary leader collaborating with directors and stakeholders across business units, leveraging technical credibility and executive presence to manage senior and specialist talent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and develop a team of recruiters across diverse disciplines and territories within EMEA, maintaining high standards for talent acquisition.
- Mentor recruiters to evolve from strong execution into autonomous ownership, ensuring effective search planning, closing requisitions, and building stakeholder confidence.
- Serve as a strategic partner to directors and senior stakeholders by providing deep business and technical insight to guide hiring decisions beyond transactional recruitment.
- Balance strategic consultation with hands-on involvement on complex and specialized talent searches.
- Utilize data analytics to assess recruiting funnel performance, diagnose challenges, and implement actionable improvements anchored in clear metrics.
- Enhance the hiring process by refining role definitions, improving candidate screening quality, and standardizing interview evaluations with hiring managers.
- Implement a research-driven, talent-mapping approach tailored to the European market, emphasizing proactive outreach and long-term candidate engagement.
- Collaborate with People Partners and business leaders to analyze hiring outcomes, refine candidate profiles, improve assessment methods, and optimize closure strategies based on learnings.
- Embed Samsara's core values such as inclusivity, long-term strategic vision, and collaboration into all aspects of recruiting leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive full-cycle recruiting experience, especially in senior-level software engineering talent acquisition.
- Proven leadership in managing and growing recruiting teams across various disciplines and geographies, both in-person and remotely.
- Strong ability to build trust and executive presence among senior business leaders.
- Expertise in talent bar setting and coaching to develop recruiters into highly valued talent advisors.
- Ability to manage recruitment efforts spanning multiple specialties, including technical roles, sales engineering, and G&A functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for Sales Engineering and G&A functions alongside core engineering roles.
- Track record in director-level talent searches.
- Demonstrated leadership in large-scale EMEA recruitment across multiple countries and markets.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is £104,400 to £130,500 GBP. Compensation varies based on location, skills, experience, and knowledge.
