Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of Early Career Recruiting to lead and expand Notion's early talent acquisition efforts. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing strategies to attract outstanding emerging talent across the company, leveraging university recruiting, internship programs, and early-in-career hiring pipelines. The position is based in San Francisco with required onsite presence on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, collaborating closely with teams to foster innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global strategy for early career recruitment including internships, new graduate hires, and early career talent across various business units and geographies.
- Lead, mentor, and elevate a team of early career recruiters ensuring consistent high performance and alignment with company goals.
- Advise senior leadership with insights on talent markets, compensation, and strategies for engaging emerging professionals from educational institutions and early-stage job markets.
- Drive adoption of AI-enhanced tools and automated workflows to improve sourcing, assessment, and hiring efficiency within the early career recruitment function.
- Continuously refine recruitment programs and processes such as internship program design, candidate conversion tactics, offer management, and intern to full-time talent transitions.
- Establish and monitor key hiring metrics like conversion rates, quality of hires, source effectiveness, and time-to-offer to inform data-driven recruitment decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and storytelling teams to strengthen Notion’s employer brand among next-generation talent prospects.
- Work with internal ambassador programs to cultivate community connections between early talent and Notion’s employees, turning these relationships into successful hires.
Required Qualifications
- Over 4 years of leadership experience focusing on early career hiring including managing university recruiting, internship programs, and early-in-career hiring strategies across multiple functions.
- Innovative understanding of emerging methods to attract and evaluate early talent such as challenge-based assessments and work trials.
- Proven capability to build and grow high-performing recruiting teams and programs in fast-paced, expanding environments.
- Strong strategic mindset with the agility to lead high-level talent discussions as well as manage tactical recruitment operations.
- Data-driven with excellent analytical skills to evaluate recruitment metrics and optimize performance.
- Established credibility with executives as a trusted advisor on talent-related decisions and investments.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and expertise in integrating AI and automation tools into recruitment processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of early career compensation trends, talent market dynamics, and effective partnerships with universities and diverse talent communities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in designing structured early career development programs such as rotations and mentorship initiatives.
- Strong background in utilizing AI not just as a tool but to redesign recruitment workflows and enhance overall efficiency.
- Track record of creating inclusive recruitment initiatives targeting underrepresented groups and educational institutions such as HBCUs and community colleges.
- Robust network within the university recruiting and campus talent ecosystems.
Compensation and Benefits
Notion offers a competitive compensation package which includes cash, equity, and benefits, tailored to the location, role complexity, and candidate experience. For San Francisco and New York City offices, the expected base salary range is $225,000 to $275,000 annually.
