About the Role

The Medical Workforce eSystems Team at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board spearheads the implementation, enhancement, and sustained support of digital platforms that facilitate optimal medical workforce and job planning across the health organisation. This demanding role involves collaborating within a fast-moving programme environment to support strategic projects through project coordination, system management, data oversight, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will play a critical part in ensuring project delivery, tracking progress, managing risks, and providing accurate data and reports, working closely alongside clinical, operational, and workforce teams to institutionalise long-term digital solutions for medical workforce planning.

The post is located in Cwmbrân, Wales. Speaking Welsh is advantageous but not mandatory; both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to aid the planning and execution of projects or programmes directed towards strategic goals.
  • Support project facilitation and ongoing monitoring of progress.
  • Identify potential risks and promptly report them to the Programme or Project Manager.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of project planning, monitoring, and control methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to engage effectively with all staff levels.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet timelines and manage competing demands.
  • Competency in common IT applications.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a demanding administrative environment.
  • Background in project management or knowledge of NHS/clinical settings.
  • Advanced IT skills.
