Overview
The Sports Marketing team focused on Basketball at Nike is dedicated to integrating athletes into all aspects of the company to generate value for both the athlete and Nike. This role supports implementing the comprehensive service strategy for a group of signature athletes and partners by partnering closely with the Athlete Integration team. Together, they ensure seamless execution of initiatives that align with brand and business goals.

Responsibilities
- Manage athlete requests by processing submissions via an intake portal and respond promptly.
- Plan and script product purchases that support Nike’s seasonal brand initiatives.
- Create strategies and plans to promote Nike’s products and services to individuals and organizations.
- Update and maintain athlete profiles using the SMARTE platform to ensure accurate information.
- Maintain data integrity within the portal and reporting systems; develop dashboards and monthly reports from intake and profile databases.
- Collaborate with Athlete Integration and Athlete Services teams to execute athlete plans and opportunities in Basketball Sports Marketing.
- Assist with key projects and events to enhance the athlete portfolio's impact.
- Support Sports Marketing and Athlete Integration initiatives to deliver outstanding experiences for athletes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of proven success navigating complex organizational structures and building vital relationships for business outcomes.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in account or project management and stakeholder engagement in the sports industry preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity for clear, concise stakeholder interactions.
- Proficient with tools such as Keynote, Excel, AirTable, Box, and Slack.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple urgent priorities concurrently.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude with a team-oriented approach.
- Genuine passion for and understanding of the sports industry.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
