Role Overview

The Senior Product Specialist is tasked with generating clinical demand for AstraZeneca’s Biologics portfolio within key accounts by identifying business opportunities, aligning value propositions to stakeholder needs, and recommending solutions that foster business growth. This position requires building strategic relationships with multidisciplinary teams and decision-making units, leveraging scientific knowledge to optimize opportunities for AstraZeneca's Specialty portfolio medicines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tailored account strategies to enhance local positioning of Biologics products through close collaboration with sales teams and franchise managers.
  • Analyze market dynamics and competitor activity to uncover business prospects within the assigned territory.
  • Design and implement account plans with resource allocation for maximum sales impact.
  • Engage and build long-term, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders, promoting informed prescribing via scientific discussions aligned with approved indications.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and support launches of new indications to increase product visibility and uptake.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer segmentation and interaction records using Veeva system.
  • Monitor sales transactions to detect anomalies and timely submit performance and business deviation reports.
  • Facilitate educational initiatives, including multidisciplinary workshops and speaker programs, to enhance knowledge of AstraZeneca’s offerings among healthcare professionals.
  • Drive sales performance to meet or exceed targets while managing budget adherence and resource utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate ethical standards, local laws, and internal policies, including timely reporting of relevant incidents.
  • Commit to personal continuous development, identify growth areas, and participate actively in trainings and sales meetings.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Saudi national candidate preferred.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales with strong account management skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year focused on Sales experience in Biologics or Specialty medicines.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence complex clinical stakeholders, including mid to senior healthcare professionals, KOLs, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience navigating complex decision-making units to drive meaningful value and stakeholder alignment.
  • Demonstrated success working within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen combined with comprehensive medical knowledge.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving prowess with patient-centric mindset.
  • Preferred experience engaging ENT specialty healthcare professionals is a plus.
