Overview
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner company seeking a Senior Product Manager, Education based in Canada. The role centers on reshaping financial education and engagement experiences related to retirement plans for members across Canada. It represents a strategic position to influence education initiatives, foster innovative engagement programs, and advance financial literacy and retirement preparedness.
Working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional setting, the professional will manage the full lifecycle of program strategy, execution, and enhancement while engaging multiple stakeholders. This role integrates product leadership, customer insights, data-driven approaches, and program innovation to create scalable educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and own the strategic roadmap aligning education and engagement programs with business goals and desired member outcomes.
- Oversee the design, launch, and ongoing advancement of diverse education initiatives such as webinars, workshops, events, digital content, and multichannel engagement journeys.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously from inception through completion, managing timelines, dependencies, stakeholders, and delivery across interdisciplinary teams.
- Utilize member research, voice-of-customer insights, behavioral science, and segmentation to identify educational needs and amplify engagement.
- Develop measurement frameworks and reporting mechanisms to assess program impact and facilitate continuous enhancement.
- Serve as an expert resource on education and member engagement, advising on content strategies, technology improvements, compliance matters, and industry trends.
- Partner with organizational leaders and stakeholders to cultivate alignment, communicate program vision, and bolster strategic decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Education, or a related field.
- Seven to ten or more years of advancing experience in product management, program leadership, or customer engagement within the financial services sector.
- Proven track record in spearheading financial literacy initiatives, adult education programs, or member engagement strategies.
- Expertise in managing complex projects and juggling multiple priorities within matrix environments while influencing stakeholder groups without direct authority.
- Strong analytical abilities, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making and enhance results.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
- Robust organizational and problem-solving skills with a flexible and agile mindset to handle shifting priorities and change.
- Familiarity with the Canadian retirement system, including knowledge of group pension plans, RRSPs, TFSAs, and regulatory factors, is highly advantageous.
- Experience with engagement analytics, webinar platforms, content management systems, and digital production tools is preferred.
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are considered a plus.
