About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Manager to join a prominent organisation based in central London, operating within the rail sector. This permanent role offers a competitive salary ranging from £55,596 to £67,813 yearly, in addition to excellent benefits. The successful candidate will oversee procurement operations for a range of medium-value contracts, ensuring optimal value, compliance, commercial integrity, and effective engagement with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute procurement and contract strategies for the organisation's portfolio.
- Manage comprehensive tendering processes from initiation through to contract award.
- Lead negotiations on commercial agreements to secure beneficial terms.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with stakeholders across various organisational levels.
- Ensure contracts comply with quality, safety, and environmental standards while delivering financial value.
Essential Requirements
- Extensive background in procurement and contract management including adept negotiation skills.
- Proven track record in the development and implementation of procurement and commercial plans.
- Strong capability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all hierarchical levels.
- Familiarity with EU Procurement Directives.
- Awareness of safety and environmental obligations within contracts.
- Experience utilizing e-procurement technology platforms.
