Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Principal in Financial Planning and Modelling to join our Finance team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Delivery Hero’s financial robustness and growth by delivering insightful financial analyses that influence strategic decisions. Your scope will cover reporting, strategic financial planning, and direct contributions to company innovation and expansion ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive Free Cash Flow (FCF) planning processes across the company’s international operations.
• Serve as the main FCF expert for regional finance teams, elevating and standardizing FCF planning best practices and capabilities, with special focus on Working Capital management.
• Review and challenge financial assumptions in regional consolidations to maintain precision and reliability in group cash flow models.
• Analyze discrepancies between actuals versus budgets and best estimates, concentrating on Working Capital dynamics such as timing deviations, structural adjustments, and submission inaccuracies.
• Collaborate with global and local finance stakeholders to refine FCF forecasting methods and enhance Working Capital prediction accuracy.
• Act as the lead subject expert for embedding FCF planning functionalities within Anaplan, ensuring consistency with corporate standards and facilitating stakeholder support throughout implementation.

Essential Qualifications and Expertise

• Demonstrated expertise in integrating financial statements, particularly how income statement accruals, balance sheet movements, and cash flow items collectively inform Free Cash Flow projections.
• In-depth technical knowledge of Working Capital, including Cash Conversion Cycle components like Days Inventory Outstanding, Days Sales Outstanding, and Days Payable Outstanding, along with driver-based forecasting on a granular level.
• Strong acumen in cash tax management, including understanding cash tax flows, corporate tax instalments, withholding taxes, VAT settlements, and deferred tax asset/liability mechanisms.
• Proficiency with IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 16, and comprehensive knowledge of capital expenditure reporting and forecasting.
• Experience preferably from a corporate finance background or a mix of Big 4 advisory and corporate financial roles.
