Job description
Role Overview
SIA Engineering Company is hiring a Procurement Officer to help run sourcing and procurement activities, support supplier onboarding, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and contribute to procurement reporting and process improvements.
Sourcing and Procurement Operations
- Assist with the setup and administration of sourcing exercises such as RFQs, RFTs, and supplier engagement initiatives.
- Create sourcing projects and procurement events in the relevant procurement systems.
- Work with Category Managers to gather quotations, perform market research, and coordinate sourcing work.
- Prepare procurement documents and help move approvals through the company’s procurement policy and procedure framework.
- Support contract administration tasks, including amendments, renewals, security deposits, and insurance documents where needed.
Supplier Onboarding
- Help onboard suppliers and update supplier records as part of daily procurement operations, checking that all supporting documents are complete and compliant.
- Coordinate onboarding activities with the Shared Services Centre (SSC) Supplier Lifecycle and Performance team, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Carry out supplier callback verification and maintain accurate records according to company procedures.
Stakeholder and Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, Finance, end users, and other business units to clarify needs and resolve procurement questions.
- Work closely with stakeholders to keep procurement activities and deliverables on schedule.
- Help resolve procurement, supplier, and payment issues through effective coordination and follow-up.
Procurement Analytics and Continuous Improvement
- Support procurement reporting, spend analysis, and data checking activities.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and category management work as assigned.
General Duties
- Assist with ad hoc procurement projects and other responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Officer or Procurement Management.
Qualifications and Experience
- A diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Open to learning and working with e-procurement platforms such as SAP, SAP Ariba, and similar systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to handle multiple tasks, prioritise work effectively, and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Careful, detail-focused, and accurate when handling procurement and supplier data.
- Works well in a team and brings a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
