Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Marketing & Communications Lead for a 10-month maternity cover contract. This senior marketing role involves leading comprehensive brand and communication initiatives across diverse channels and working closely with senior marketing leadership to translate commercial goals into impactful campaigns and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns aligned with brand and business goals.
  • Manage end-to-end advertising efforts including planning, briefing, creative development, media execution, and campaign assessment.
  • Coordinate multi-channel campaigns across above-the-line, below-the-line, digital, CRM, PR, events, and local activations.
  • Discover and evaluate new marketing, brand-building, and partnership opportunities.
  • Lead product and service launches with coordinated marketing and customer communication strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, operations, finance, customer experience, and other internal teams to ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Oversee relationships with creative, media, PR, event, and specialist agencies; prepare clear briefs and supervise delivery within objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Drive public relations activities including media engagement, influencer outreach, product communications, and experiential events.
  • Organize large-scale corporate, customer, partner, and brand events.
  • Manage sponsorships and community partnerships to create meaningful brand and audience engagement.
  • Support CRM campaign development and execution including segmentation, communications, lead generation, and pre-launch activities.
  • Work with data teams to enhance targeting, response, and overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Develop marketing programs deployable through a nationwide commercial partner network.
  • Provide marketing materials, guidance, and training to ensure consistent execution at the local level.
  • Create targeted campaigns for specific customer segments, business markets, and products.
  • Contribute to the marketing strategies of premium and specialist brand offerings.
  • Monitor consumer behavior, market developments, brand performance, and competitive activity.
  • Leverage campaign data and commercial insights to identify growth opportunities and recommend improvements.
  • Set campaign targets and KPIs, regularly reporting on results and ROI.
  • Manage allocated marketing budgets and ensure compliance with financial constraints.
  • Conduct post-campaign reviews to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain uniform brand positioning, messaging, and presentation across customer touchpoints.
  • Assist senior marketing leadership with additional strategic and operational projects as required.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of six years experience in consumer marketing roles.
  • Proven senior-level experience in managing full lifecycle major marketing initiatives.
  • Strong background in designing and executing integrated, through-the-line campaigns.
  • Successful track record managing brand, advertising, customer engagement, and communications across multiple platforms.
  • Experience managing large-scale events with external agencies and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with public relations, media relations, sponsorships, or influencer marketing.
  • Proficient in CRM-driven and data-led marketing campaigns.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software is a distinct advantage.
  • Experienced in managing agencies, external vendors, and significant marketing budgets.
  • Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications, business, or related fields are preferred.

Contract Details and Benefits

This role is offered as a fixed-term contract for 10 months to cover maternity leave. The position is onsite within a supportive and well-resourced setting.
