Role Overview

We seek a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Strategy and Corporate Development team within the global Mobility sector based in Singapore. This role involves spearheading strategic initiatives and corporate growth projects across geographical regions, entailing comprehensive analysis, problem-solving, and end-to-end project leadership. The role reports directly to the Senior General Manager, Mobility Strategy and Corporate Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development and implementation of strategic recommendations, managing the entire strategy cycle (monthly, quarterly, annual) in assigned areas and aligning with Strategic Business Units.
  • Carry out market intelligence activities to uncover growth avenues, risks, and their implications.
  • Assess new business ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships; deliver evidence-backed advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership and corporate functions to synchronize strategic plans with organizational mission.
  • Identify and prioritize new growth opportunities and support acquisition and partnership processes, including due diligence, negotiation preparation, and integration planning.
  • Forge and sustain relationships with investors, partners, and industry experts to strengthen corporate development activities.
  • Perform detailed financial evaluations and prepare thorough business cases, financial models, and investment proposals.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic and corporate development initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior strategy and development team members and cross-functional teams.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and collaboration within the team.
  • Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders including government and consulting entities to ensure consensus and support for strategies.
  • Represent the organization at industry forums and events.
  • Exemplify adeptness in navigating organizational structures both mature and emerging, securing alignment and stakeholder endorsement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, or management consulting.
  • Background in the automotive industry with preference for distribution sector experience.
  • Proven successes in project management and strategic planning.
  • Strong financial skills including modeling and analysis.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and developing team talents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with AI tools.
  • Capability to perform well in fast-changing, collaborative, and innovative environments.
  • Competence in managing complex stakeholder relationships to gain buy-in.
  • Fluency in English mandatory; additional languages such as Chinese, Turkish, Arabic or other European languages regarded favorably.
