Job description
Role overview
Starbucks is looking for a Senior Manager, Social Trends & Insights to help the brand stay relevant in culture by building meaningful connections with creators, tastemakers, influencers, and celebrities. In this role, you’ll support the planning and management of influencer relationships across social platforms, help deliver campaigns that strengthen brand presence, and contribute to both short-term activations and long-term fandom.
You’ll partner with the GM, Influencers and collaborate with the Social Media team, Brand Engagement, and Marketing to identify opportunities that drive conversation, earned media, and social engagement. The position calls for someone who is creative, strategic, highly organized, and genuinely interested in culture, creator trends, and relationship-building.
This is an onsite role, with four days per week expected in the office.
What you’ll do
- Develop and strengthen relationships with creators by supporting outreach, engagement, and ongoing relationship management.
- Plan and run gifting and seeding initiatives that feel thoughtful, timely, and aligned to brand priorities.
- Help extend campaigns and major brand moments through creator participation to increase conversation, engagement, and affinity.
- Own and evolve the Starcard program, including strategy, production, and delivery of premium gifting for talent and superfans.
- Track user-generated content, social trends, emerging creators, and influencer best practices, then translate those insights into fresh campaign ideas.
- Work with cross-functional partners to bring influencer opportunities into broader marketing programs and increase reach.
- Manage and refresh the influencer roster so it remains practical, current, and ready for activations and real-time opportunities.
What we’re looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, or a closely related field, or equivalent job-related experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in design, marketing, or advertising.
- At least 3 years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, PR, or a similar area.
- Clear passion for culture, social platforms, and new creator trends.
- Strong people skills and the ability to build authentic relationships quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail along with strong organization and project coordination ability.
- Prior exposure to gifting, seeding, or creator engagement programs is an advantage.
- A collaborative working style and comfort in a fast-moving, team-based environment.
- Curiosity, creativity, and the willingness to keep learning and growing in brand and cultural marketing.
