Role Overview
This opportunity is for a driven leader to join one of the fast-rising functional beverage brands in the U.S. as a Senior Manager overseeing Product Portfolio and Brand. You will be responsible for steering the long-term vitality, growth, and profitability of the entire Mitra9 product lineup. Acting as the strategic liaison across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, R&D/QA, and Supply Chain, your aim is to ensure the company offers the right products targeting the right consumer segments, distributed through optimal channels, and achieving profitable margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain overall portfolio health by continuously reviewing revenue, margins, inventory, consumer demand, and strategic alignment.
- Lead SKU rationalization, recommending product launches, adjustments, or discontinuations based on comprehensive data.
- Create channel-specific product assortment and configurations supporting business goals.
- Manage product lifecycle from ideation through to phase-out.
- Work closely with Finance to analyze product profitability and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Develop and manage the innovation pipeline and future product roadmap, spotting new consumer trends and whitespace opportunities.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market intelligence to shape growth initiatives.
- Build business cases supporting innovation projects including evaluating new product concepts, formats, flavors, and packaging.
- Incorporate consumer insights into product positioning, brand communication, and packaging strategies to ensure alignment with brand and consumer expectations.
- Collaborate with Marketing to integrate portfolio strategies into effective market execution.
- Identify margin improvement opportunities through supplier, ingredient, packaging, and manufacturing optimization.
- Support supplier assessments, negotiations, and sourcing strategies to improve cost, quality, service, and lead times.
- Partner with Operations to optimize forecasting, inventory management, new product launches, and supply chain efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional teams and serve as the main coordinator for portfolio-related efforts across departments.
- Establish and maintain robust reporting and review systems to enhance transparency of portfolio results and decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, Merchandising, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years in portfolio or product management, merchandising, category management, commercialization, sourcing, or similar functions.
- Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, portfolio strategies, and consumer insight application.
- Experience in profitability analysis, pricing strategy, and understanding margin drivers.
- Proven ability to work effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and sourcing partners.
- Skillful in identifying growth opportunities and converting market intelligence into actionable strategies.
- Excellent analytical, financial acumen, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective project management and leadership abilities for cross-department collaboration.
- Background in consumer packaged goods, beverages, food, wellness, retail, or related sectors is advantageous.
