Key responsibilities

  • Undertake post-approval credit reviews for the bank’s main business lines, including Global Banking, CMG, and Retail Banking.
  • Lead sector-wide reviews for selected industries, along with special and ad hoc reviews when emerging risk themes require attention.
  • Work closely and proactively with business units and relevant stakeholders to keep the review process well coordinated and transparent.
  • Deliver independent evaluations of adherence to credit policies and procedures.
  • Assess the strength and effectiveness of credit underwriting standards.
  • Review how well account management practices and governance structures support credit risk control.
  • Spot control weaknesses, risk concerns, and improvement opportunities, then recommend practical steps to strengthen credit risk management.
  • Follow up on agreed remediation actions and monitor progress through to completion by the responsible stakeholders.

Requirements
