The business has raised more than $1 billion in equity and debt funding and is valued at $4.5 billion.

Role overview

Tabby is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Internal Audit Senior Manager to build and lead the internal audit function in line with Central Bank of the UAE expectations and IIA standards. The position reports to the CEO and the local Audit Committee and plays a key role in strengthening governance, compliance, and independent assurance across the organization.

This opportunity is best suited to a strong fintech audit leader who can design practical, modern audit solutions and help shape the internal audit strategy in a fast-scaling environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and head the internal audit function, including the team structure, operating model, audit approach, and supporting infrastructure, while ensuring alignment with IIA standards and Central Bank of the UAE requirements.
  • Carry out organization-wide risk reviews twice a year and use the results to build and maintain a risk-focused internal audit plan for Audit Committee approval.
  • Direct audit work across operational, financial, technology, data, product, and compliance areas, ensuring delivery is timely, thorough, and valuable to the business.
  • Coordinate co-sourced and outsourced audit partners so their work follows the internal audit methodology and brings in the right specialist expertise when needed.
  • Prepare concise, insightful updates for the Audit Committee and senior leadership covering audit results, major risk areas, control gaps, and key themes.
  • Own the issue tracking and remediation process by maintaining a complete log of findings, monitoring corrective actions, and confirming that issues are fully resolved.
  • Build effective, independent working relationships with senior stakeholders, offering balanced challenge, risk perspective, and practical improvements to strengthen controls.
  • Incorporate data analytics into planning and fieldwork to improve coverage, uncover patterns, and enhance the quality of audit outcomes.
  • Support a culture of strong governance, integrity, and continuous improvement throughout the business.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related subject is required; a master’s degree or other advanced qualification is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, or operational controls within financial services, fintech, or professional services.
  • Solid knowledge of control frameworks, technology-related risk, data governance, and digital financial products, especially BNPL operating models.
  • Familiarity with Central Bank of the UAE regulatory expectations around governance, risk management, and internal control is important.
  • Hands-on ability with data analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python to support testing, analytics, and reporting.
  • Professional qualifications like CIA, CRMA, CISA, or CFE are considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical judgment and critical thinking, with the ability to recommend practical improvements to controls and processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain complex audit matters clearly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong focus on execution and delivery.
  • English fluency is mandatory; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Benefits

  • Flexible work arrangements with trust and autonomy from the first day.
  • Exposure to a high-growth environment with meaningful ownership and responsibility that can fast-track career development.
  • Eligibility to participate in the company’s employee stock options plan.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage.
  • Flexi Perks, offering a monetary allowance that can be used for health, well-being, education, or professional development.
