Role Overview

The International Office at AUT is key to expanding the university’s global engagement through strong international partnerships, Transnational Education (TNE), and recruitment of international students. We are seeking two Senior Managers – Faculty International to join this vital team on a permanent full-time basis at our city campus.

In this position, you will serve as the strategic link between the International Office and designated faculties, collaborating closely with Deans, Deputy and Associate Deans, Heads of School, and other senior leaders. Your role will involve guiding faculty-specific international strategies to boost recruitment, partnership growth, student mobility, and the international student experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement internationalisation strategies aligned with AUT’s overall goals within specified faculties.
• Establish and nurture trusted partnerships with faculty leadership and stakeholders across the university.
• Identify new and expand existing international partnerships and Transnational Education opportunities.
• Assist with initiatives related to international student recruitment, marketing, conversion, and enrolment.
• Lead efforts to improve international students’ experience, retention, and academic success.
• Promote student mobility programs such as exchanges, study tours, and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).
• Utilize data analysis and market insights to guide strategic planning and evaluate outcomes.
• Represent the International Office in faculty-level committees, projects, and working groups.

Candidate Profile

• A relevant tertiary qualification is essential.
• Proven experience in strategic management or business partnering roles, preferably within universities or international education sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and sustain strategic international partnerships.
• Familiarity with international student recruitment processes and Transnational Education models.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management abilities.
• Collaborative mindset with capability to work effectively across diverse cultural and professional environments.

• Salary Range: Starting at $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
