Senior Manager - CSR, ESG and Impact Advisory

Role summary

TAG Assessors Guild is looking for a seasoned professional to take charge of CSR advisory, ESG consulting, impact assessment work, and client-facing assignments. The position combines consulting delivery, stakeholder coordination, report preparation, and support for business growth.

CSR and ESG advisory

You will guide clients on CSR planning, governance, legal compliance, and execution under the Companies Act, 2013. The role also includes helping design CSR roadmaps, sustainability programs, ESG integration approaches, and SDG-aligned initiatives, along with advising on ESG performance metrics and sustainability disclosures.

Research, assessment, and evaluation

The role requires leading impact assessments, baseline and need studies, monitoring and evaluation projects, third-party evaluations, SROI studies, and other research-focused assignments linked to CSR and development programs. You will develop research methods, assessment instruments, and data collection frameworks, then analyze both numerical and qualitative inputs to build strong reports, dashboards, and client presentations.

Project management

You will oversee multiple consulting engagements from start to finish, ensuring schedules, documentation, budgets, and communication remain on track. Coordination with field staff, research associates, and subject matter experts will be a regular part of the job, along with maintaining quality and timely delivery across all assignments.

Business development and client engagement

The position includes preparing proposals, concept papers, technical bids, and presentation material. You will also develop and sustain relationships with corporate CSR teams, foundations, NGOs, government bodies, and development partners, while identifying new opportunities and representing the organization in CSR, ESG, and sustainability discussions and events.

Desired background and competencies

The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of CSR rules, Schedule VII, and the broader development sector. Experience in impact assessment, monitoring and evaluation, research, or social impact consulting is important, along with working knowledge of ESG, sustainability, and SDG frameworks. Strong analysis, report writing, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities are expected, as well as proficiency in MS Office. Experience with proposal development, SROI, ESG reporting frameworks, or data analysis tools is preferred. Good communication skills in English and Hindi are an added advantage.

Education and candidate profile

A postgraduate qualification in MBA, MSW, Rural Management, Development Studies, Public Policy, Sustainability, Economics, Social Sciences, or a closely related subject is required. Applicants from reputed institutions with relevant consulting or development-sector experience will be preferred. The suitable candidate should be proactive, capable of independently handling client engagements, and able to contribute to organizational growth through strategic partnerships and business development.
