This senior leadership role focuses on providing expert guidance and operational oversight in clinical programs within a specialized therapeutic franchise. You will engage closely with various internal teams to facilitate project delivery and promote operational excellence across complex clinical trials. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical program lifecycle with therapeutic insights and operational management to guarantee effective study execution.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams to craft delivery strategies, overcome operational hurdles, and enhance project results.
- Ensure adequate resourcing and alignment of clinical projects under the designated franchise with stated operational objectives.
- Act as a principal contact point supporting franchise leadership in project management communication and strategic coordination.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including proposal defense and client engagements, by contributing clinical operations expertise.
- Guarantee comprehensive training for research teams covering protocols, SOPs, quality standards, and monitoring approaches.
- Work alongside quality assurance to identify training needs, promote continuous improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate coordination between project management, site management, and start-up teams to ensure smooth trial progress.
- Maintain consistent operational assessments focusing on quality metrics, site and data performance, project status, resource management, and contractual obligations.
- Provide leadership duties including performance evaluations and fostering professional growth within the team.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in biological, physical, health sciences, pharmacy, or related fields.
- At least 8 years of clinical research experience in roles such as Clinical Research Associate or equivalent; or 10+ years if supplemented by comparable education and training.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in people management or team leadership within clinical operations.
- In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes, drug development pathways, and the biopharmaceutical sector.
- Proven experience managing or supporting Central Nervous System (CNS) clinical trials.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical protocols, therapeutic areas, operational processes, and global regulatory landscapes.
- Strong strategic mindset, problem-solving aptitude, and effective decision-making in complex settings.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Capability to work collaboratively within diverse international teams and influence cross-functional outcomes.
