Senior Manager - Accounts & Finance

Role overview

Global North is looking for an accomplished Senior Manager for Accounts & Finance to take charge of financial operations and ensure strong governance across the organization. The position calls for a leader who can combine strategic financial direction with hands-on execution, support business growth, and help leadership make well-informed decisions.

The role covers complete accounting ownership, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, statutory compliance, reporting, internal controls, and process enhancement. The right candidate will also partner with cross-functional teams, oversee team performance, and maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and financial discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Run the full accounting cycle, including books maintenance, journal postings, ledger upkeep, and account reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and ensure timely preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Compile and share MIS packs covering cash flow, profitability, debtor and creditor ageing, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with Indian tax requirements such as GST returns, reconciliations, amendments, refund applications, TDS calculation and filing, and Income Tax matters, along with support for transfer pricing documentation.
• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits, and resolve audit observations with auditors.
• Manage routine financial activities such as vendor payments, bank reconciliations, payroll accounting, PF compliance, and expense monitoring.
• Oversee accounting and compliance work for overseas entities in Dubai, Singapore, and the USA, while working with global consultants on regulatory matters.
• Handle inter-company entries, reconciliations, multi-entity accounting, consolidation support, and multi-currency accounting.
• Work with management on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, variance monitoring, and cost-control initiatives.
• Create and improve financial policies, internal controls, and operating processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Track financial data to spot risks, variances, and irregularities, and initiate corrective action where needed.
• Ensure financial records and compliance documentation are complete, accurate, and well organized.
• Lead the accounts team, review deliverables, and ensure work is accurate and completed on time.
• Share regular financial insights and management reports to support strategic decisions.
• Maintain adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and ethical financial governance.
• Support expansion into new geographies by aligning finance processes for international operations.

Experience and qualification requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with a Chartered Accountant qualification and additional managerial-level training in the field.
• Prior exposure to international accounting and taxation for Dubai, Singapore, or the USA will be a strong advantage.
• Experience in financial services, consulting, or a multi-entity setup is preferred.

Skills and working knowledge

• Practical command of end-to-end accounting and financial management.
• Ability to prepare and close financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Strong understanding of Indian taxation, including GST compliance, TDS, Income Tax, and transfer pricing support.
• Working familiarity with RBI compliance, FEMA guidelines, and LRS/ODI rules.
• Experience managing statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Exposure to international tax and accounting practices such as UAE VAT, Singapore GST, and basic US GAAP concepts.
• Comfort with multi-entity accounting, inter-company transactions, and consolidation.
• Hands-on use of Tally Prime and MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Capability to handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closures.
• Strong analytical ability to detect discrepancies and financial risks.
• High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.
• Experience in MIS reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Working schedule and benefits

• Workdays are Monday to Friday, with 2 working Saturdays each month.
• Office hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Compensation includes a fixed salary plus performance-based bonuses, milestone incentives, and variable pay.
