Job description
About the team
The IT Compliance & Risk function at SeaMoney focuses on identifying, assessing, and reducing technology and cyber risk across the wider group, including overseas operations. The team works to strengthen governance, protect systems and data, and help the business stay aligned with internal standards and external obligations.
Role overview
In this role, you will help shape and run cyber security and IT risk frameworks, support compliance efforts, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve the organisation’s security posture. The position involves both strategic oversight and hands-on coordination across audits, regulatory reviews, and control improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and drive the adoption of cyber security and IT risk policies, governance practices, technologies, and supporting tools aimed at reducing losses linked to security incidents, process failures, weak controls, emerging threats, and regulatory non-compliance.
- Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and control requirements, and confirm alignment with external regulatory expectations while identifying opportunities to strengthen the control environment.
- Collaborate closely with business, operations, engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to assess, recommend, implement, and manage security and IT solutions across cyber and technology domains.
- Coordinate audit and regulatory engagements, including communication, tracking, and follow-up actions with internal auditors, external auditors, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, technology, finance, accountancy, or another relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years of full-time experience in IT compliance, IT risk, information security, or IT auditing.
- Demonstrated interest or practical exposure in one or more of the following areas: information security, infrastructure security, application and data security, cloud security, and CI/CD or container security.
- Good understanding of banking applications and related technologies, including products and support services, operating procedures, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Working knowledge of information security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, PCI, NIST, and CIS.
- For candidates focused on IT risk, familiarity with information security standards and professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or equivalent is expected.
- Self-motivated, constructive, and collaborative, with a strong focus on team outcomes.
- Able to stay resourceful and adapt effectively in a fast-changing environment.
