Job description
Role overview
A client of byteSpark.ai is hiring a senior capital raising professional to drive investor sourcing and commitment closure across Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. This is a hands-on execution role focused on building your own investor base, meeting family offices and high-net-worth individuals, presenting private equity, real estate, and venture capital opportunities, and securing commitments with limited supervision.
The employer is a Shariah-compliant alternative asset manager with an expanding footprint in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work independently toward a first-year target of USD 10 million in closed commitments, with the expectation that results scale in later years. You will partner with internal investment teams to shape compelling investor proposals and will be responsible for maintaining full KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS compliance throughout onboarding in line with SAMA and CMA requirements.
What the role involves
- Source investors independently and build a pipeline from the ground up.
- Pitch alternative investment opportunities to family offices and HNW individuals.
- Close capital commitments personally, from first contact through signed commitment.
- Work with internal teams to tailor investor materials and proposals.
- Track progress toward the USD 10 million Year 1 commitment target.
- Manage investor onboarding and ensure KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS documentation is complete.
- Operate within SAMA and CMA regulatory expectations for fund distribution and investor-facing activity.
Required experience and background
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in investment placement, capital raising, or institutional sales within private equity, real estate, venture capital, or a similar alternative investment strategy. The background must show direct responsibility for closing commitments, not merely supporting a team that closes deals.
A documented history of sourcing investors, pitching alternative products, and closing commitments from family offices and HNW individuals in KSA is essential. Candidates should also have a strong personal investor network in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, ideally one they built independently and can bring to the role.
Additional requirements
- Strong understanding of private equity, real estate, and venture capital products.
- Proven ability to create and manage a pipeline from scratch, including profiling, follow-up, and conversion.
- Practical experience handling investor onboarding compliance, including KYC, AML, and FATCA/CRS.
- Working knowledge of SAMA and CMA rules relevant to investor distribution and outreach in KSA.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related business discipline.
Preferred qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or a related area.
- Experience raising capital across other GCC markets such as the UAE, Qatar, or Bahrain.
- English and Arabic bilingual ability; Arabic is especially valuable for working with family offices and HNW investors in Saudi Arabia.
- CMA license or CME certification in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience using CRM tools for pipeline management, investor profiling, and leadership reporting.
- GCC nationality is preferred for this market context and investor segment.
Role details
This is a senior-level, full-time onsite position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the finance department and capital markets sub-sector. The role sits in the finance industry and requires a candidate who is comfortable owning outcomes end to end.
Opportunity
This position is best suited to someone who has already proven they can independently move an investor from the first meeting to a signed commitment, using their own relationships, judgment, and execution discipline.
