The Asia region investments began in 2023, covering projects in five countries with ongoing rapid growth.

Role Overview

We seek an experienced leader to join our expanding Asia team based in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Investments (Asia), this role will steer deal underwriting, portfolio KPI management, and investment platform operations focused on the Philippines and Japan. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic decision-making, capital raising, and mentor junior colleagues across Singapore and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing regional investment platforms, concentrating on the Philippines and Japan, and oversee operational portfolio performance and business plan KPIs.
• Lead deal underwriting, commercial negotiations, and documentation for solar, wind (onshore/offshore), energy storage, and other energy transition projects independently.
• Support strategy formulation, mandate expansion, and fundraising initiatives across Asia.
• Originate, evaluate, and screen new investment opportunities within target Asian markets.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members based in Singapore and the UK.
• Collaborate with headquarters for investment committee activities, risk management, and governance processes.
• Represent OEGEN at industry conferences and investor meetings.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant experience in Private Equity, M&A, or advisory in APAC renewables or infrastructure sectors within reputable organizations.
• Proven leadership capabilities in managing and mentoring junior teams.
• Strong deal underwriting skills, including commercial structuring and risk assessment across deal stages.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, deal screening, valuation, and monitoring business plan KPIs.
• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy asset classes including solar, wind, storage, and hydrogen, and familiarity with regional APAC market dynamics.
• Established investment origination network throughout Asia.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent presentation skills, sound financial insight, and collaborative team orientation.
