Job description

About Anthropic

Anthropic’s purpose is to build AI systems that are dependable, easy to understand, and controllable, with a focus on safety and positive impact for people and society. The organization is made up of researchers, engineers, policy specialists, and business leaders working together to develop beneficial AI.

About the Role

As Anthropic expands across Asia-Pacific, the company is strengthening the functions that support operations and governance, including Finance, Legal, and People. This Singapore-based Senior G&A Recruiter will lead end-to-end hiring for these teams across the region.

This is a senior individual-contributor position for someone with strong G&A recruiting expertise who can work independently. The role involves partnering closely with senior leaders in Finance, Legal, and People to turn unclear hiring needs into practical search plans, manage a thoughtful and high-standard hiring process, and secure strong candidates in a competitive talent market. The role also contributes to building recruiting processes in a newer region by setting evaluation standards, developing candidate pipelines, and shaping how G&A hiring is done across APAC.

The right candidate will have deep experience in at least two of the following areas: Finance recruiting, Legal recruiting, and People recruiting. They should be comfortable making sound decisions on senior-level and specialized hiring, and skilled at earning stakeholder trust before influencing change. This work will help reinforce the operational and governance structure that supports Anthropic’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete recruiting cycle for Finance, Legal, and People positions across APAC, from initial intake to offer acceptance and close.
  • Work with senior G&A leaders to define roles, align on hiring standards, and build search strategies for difficult and niche positions.
  • Develop and sustain strong candidate pipelines, including passive candidates, across finance, legal, and people specialties.
  • Lead structured, thorough, and candidate-focused hiring processes that reflect Anthropic’s standards and values.
  • Use market data and hiring insights to advise managers and shape decisions through credibility and partnership.
  • Support recruiting process development in the region, including local market research, compensation context, and operational setup.
  • Coordinate with Talent, People Partners, and Compensation to create competitive and fair offers and support successful candidate closing.

Requirements

  • A proven record of hiring senior and specialized G&A talent in competitive markets.
  • Strong familiarity with the APAC talent market, preferably with experience hiring in or from Singapore.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to build trust with senior leaders before challenging ideas.
  • Independent judgment when evaluating candidates and calibrating role requirements, with minimal supervision.
  • Clear and direct communication, strong organization, and a proactive working style.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and helping create structure in a growing region.
  • Strong interest in Anthropic’s mission and in the role of G&A functions in enabling it.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with strong G&A hiring experience across at least two of Finance, Legal, and People.
  • Preferred: Experience recruiting for a high-growth technology, AI, or machine learning company.
  • Preferred: Experience building or expanding recruiting in a new office or region.
  • Preferred: Background in executive search or senior leadership hiring within G&A.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Greenhouse or a similar applicant tracking system.
  • Preferred: Regional language ability relevant to hiring across APAC.
  • Minimum education: bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
  • Field of study: a discipline relevant to the role, demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
  • Experience level will depend on the internal level assigned to the position.
  • Visa support may be available; the company will make every reasonable effort to support immigration if an offer is extended, though sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role or candidate.
  • Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed qualification.
  • Job scam warning: official recruiters use @anthropic.com email addresses, may work with vetted agencies that identify themselves clearly, will never request money, fees, or banking details before day one, and candidates should verify openings directly through the company careers site if unsure.
  • Company note: the organization is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco and values broad representation and diverse perspectives.
  • Working arrangement: office attendance is currently expected at least 25% of the time, and some roles may require more in-office presence.
  • Recruiting approach: the company emphasizes collaboration, communication, and high-impact work.
  • Additional note: the company offers optional equity donation matching, generous vacation, parental leave, flexible working hours, and a collaborative office environment.
  • Application guidance: candidates should review the company’s AI-usage policy for the hiring process.

Compensation & Benefits

This role includes a competitive salary, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits vary by country of employment and typically include health coverage, generous parental leave, flexible time off, and retirement support aligned with local norms. Exact details will be shared during the interview process.

Company Culture

The organization works as a unified team on a small number of large-scale research efforts and values impact, collaboration, and strong communication. It sees AI research as an empirical science and encourages frequent discussion to focus on the highest-impact work.

How to Think About This Role

The role is intended for someone who can operate with limited oversight, influence senior stakeholders, and help build recruiting infrastructure in a growing region. It is especially suited to a recruiter who combines rigorous judgment with a humane, candidate-centered process.
