Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst in Corporate Accounting, reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, will be instrumental in financial reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include management of month-end close processes, supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, driving process improvements, and ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures.
• Oversee monthly closing activities ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in budgeting, annual budget preparation, and presentation to the board.
• Support forecasting and financial planning efforts.
• Conduct variance and ad hoc financial analyses to inform management decisions.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives, system implementations, automation projects, and financing efforts.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, managing SOX compliance and coordination with auditors.
• Prepare cash flow projections and monitor working capital and liquidity.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is mandatory.
• Minimum four years relevant experience, with at least two to three years in a corporate accounting or finance setting.
• Experience with Big Four or national accounting firms is preferred.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP; knowledge of US and Canadian securities regulations is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI).
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Jet Reports advantageous.
• Familiarity with automation tools and AI technologies is beneficial.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and effective communication capabilities.

Compensation

Salary range for this position in New York City is $75,000 to $145,000 annually in US dollars.
