About the Role
A rapidly expanding technology firm is looking for a commercially savvy Senior Finance Director to spearhead its finance operations during its upcoming growth phase. This key leadership position reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with the Board and shareholders to define corporate strategy, enhance financial results, acquire capital, execute strategic mergers and acquisitions, and readies the company for an initial public offering (IPO).
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the CEO's strategic partner in finance, shaping business strategy and driving long-term value creation.
- Oversee corporate financial planning, capital allocation, and business development strategies.
- Provide financial insights to support decisions on growth, expansion, and investments.
- Head efforts to raise equity and debt from institutional investors, private equity, venture capital, and financial institutions.
- Create investment documentation, financial models, and business cases targeted at investors and lenders.
- Maintain strong relationships with shareholders, investors, banks, and professional advisors.
- Lead all phases of mergers and acquisitions including assessment, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, execution, and post-deal integration to realize synergies.
- Develop transaction structures and financial models for acquisitions and partnerships.
- Drive the company’s IPO readiness by ensuring finance, governance, reporting, and internal controls comply with public market standards.
- Collaborate with investment banks, legal counsel, auditors, and regulators throughout the IPO process.
- Provide comprehensive financial leadership covering FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, cash flow, reporting, taxation, auditing, and compliance.
- Guarantee stringent financial controls and compliance aligned with IFRS and Saudi regulatory frameworks.
- Optimize liquidity, working capital, and overall financial operations.
- Build and lead a high-performance finance team, champion finance automation, transformation, and ongoing process enhancements.
- Instill a culture focused on accountability, performance delivery, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
- Advanced qualifications such as MBA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in finance roles.
- Proven track record as a Finance Director, Senior Finance Director, VP Finance, or CFO within technology-driven sectors, including SaaS, fintech, software, or digital businesses.
- Mandatory prior experience working in Saudi Arabia, with deep understanding of local taxation, regulations, and business practices.
- Demonstrated success raising capital, managing debt financing, and fostering investor relationships.
- Experienced in leading end-to-end M&A transactions, from deal origination to post-acquisition integration.
- Hands-on involvement in preparing companies for IPOs or supporting public listings.
- Strong expertise in corporate finance disciplines, including financial modeling, valuation, treasury, and capital markets.
- Native-level Arabic speaker with fluency in English.
