Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is posted on behalf of a partner organization that oversees the application review and all follow-up steps. The company is seeking a Senior Event Marketing Manager on an expression-of-interest basis for candidates based in Canada.

The role is a senior, strategic marketing position centered on leading high-impact field and event initiatives in a fast-growing B2B technology setting. It requires ownership of the entire lifecycle of complex event programs, from planning and prioritization through execution and post-event analysis. You will help define how the business shows up at industry conferences, executive gatherings, and proprietary experiences. The position combines creativity, operational discipline, and performance-based decision-making to improve pipeline contribution and brand visibility. You will work closely with sales, product, and executive stakeholders to make sure event activity supports broader business goals. This is a highly visible role with meaningful autonomy and influence on go-to-market outcomes, well suited to someone who enjoys dynamic environments and building scalable, differentiated programs.

Key accountabilities

  • Set and refine the strategy for field and third-party event initiatives, including conferences, executive roundtables, hospitality-led experiences, and webinars, making sure they support business and revenue objectives.
  • Build and improve the yearly event portfolio by selecting the most valuable opportunities and retiring initiatives that are not delivering results.
  • Take charge of end-to-end event delivery, handling budgets, schedules, vendors, logistics, sponsorships, contracts, and on-site execution with accuracy.
  • Work across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership to prioritize initiatives, support pipeline creation, and deepen customer engagement.
  • Lead negotiations with outside partners, event organizers, and vendors to obtain sponsorships, booth placements, and strong event positioning.
  • Create repeatable processes, playbooks, and reporting structures that raise consistency and improve operational efficiency.
  • Track and report performance using data to assess ROI, pipeline impact, engagement, and lead quality, then use insights to improve future results.
  • Introduce new event concepts and experiential marketing approaches that strengthen market presence and help differentiate the brand.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or experiential marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or a similar high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success in owning and scaling complex multi-channel event portfolios, including major industry conferences and executive-level programs.
  • Strong strategic judgment with the ability to turn business priorities into practical event plans and measurable results.
  • Excellent project management abilities, strong attention to detail, and comfort juggling several high-priority initiatives at once.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, contracts, and sponsorship negotiations.
  • Solid understanding of how event marketing supports sales alignment and pipeline generation.
  • Comfort with data analysis and performance tracking, including dashboards and reporting tools used to guide decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced, scaling organizations with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel about 30%, including occasional international trips.

Benefits and additional information

  • Base pay range of USD 140,000 to USD 175,000 annually.
  • Equity in the form of stock options as part of the total compensation package.
  • Comprehensive benefits plus additional perks.
  • Flexible work setup that supports remote collaboration.
  • Chance to own and grow a high-impact marketing function with executive visibility.
  • Exposure to senior leaders and cross-functional strategic work.
  • Fast-moving environment with strong autonomy and ownership.
