Role Overview
We are looking for a strategic and business-oriented Senior Director, People Partner to join our global People & Culture team in San Francisco, CA. Reporting to the VP of US People Partner, this role is pivotal in shaping people strategies by collaborating with senior leadership to foster organizational growth, leadership development, culture enhancement, and employee engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic advisor and coach to senior executives, aiding in scaling teams, improving leadership effectiveness, and promoting high performance.
- Collaborate with leaders to design organizational structure and workforce plans aligned with business goals and growth.
- Implement change management strategies to help leaders manage transformation and organizational changes effectively.
- Lead talent management initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and high-potential employee programs.
- Develop leadership and career advancement programs, partnering with Learning & Development for scalable solutions fostering internal skills and mobility.
- Drive culture-building efforts that emphasize inclusion, innovation, collaboration, and foster a thriving workplace environment.
- Embed inclusive hiring, promotion, and leadership development practices to support culture transformation.
- Use employee engagement metrics and people analytics to design programs that enhance retention, motivation, and business success.
- Coordinate with teams including Talent Acquisition, Rewards, and People Operations to implement people-focused programs harmoniously.
- Work with Legal and Compliance for proactive management of employee relations, risk, and multi-geography employment law adherence.
- Serve as a change agent aligning people strategy with business expansion to promote innovation and efficiency.
- Ensure HR policies and programs reflect industry best practices to support the scalability of an accelerating organization.
- Lead analytics initiatives to guide strategic decision-making and effective workforce planning.
- Manage compensation, rewards, and performance management frameworks aligned with organizational objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years progressing in HR roles, including at least 5 years as a strategic HR business partner advising executive teams in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Experienced in executive coaching, leadership development, and influencing senior management to achieve business targets.
- Expertise in organizational design, change management, and talent strategies that support transformation and scaling business operations.
- A strategic thinker capable of practical execution balancing long-term vision and hands-on leadership.
- Strong data orientation with a history of employing people analytics to enhance employee experience and guide decisions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employee relations, performance evaluation, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across HR centers and business units.
- Passion for driving culture transformation with proven success in cultivating inclusive and engaging workplace environments.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related fields is mandatory; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Prior experience in partnering with engineering, tech, or product teams is preferred.
Compensation and Location
The role offers an annual salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 depending on experience and location. This position is based in the New York City office with a hybrid work schedule.
