We foster a supportive environment emphasizing our core values and team empowerment to help members perform their best in fast-paced settings.

Role Overview

This unique position requires a seasoned, entrepreneurial leader to establish and lead Oura's retail strategy across the diverse APAC markets, including Japan, South Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia, China, and India. The Senior Director will manage everything from vision setting, team building, strategic partnerships, to financial outcomes across a variety of premium consumer electronics, sports lifestyle, and wellness retail channels.

The ideal candidate must transcend traditional retail sales roles, comfortable managing cross-functional areas such as sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain while steering the business strategically and executing hands-on in a growth-oriented atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the APAC retail vision, aligning with global leaders to drive market-entry strategies, pricing models, channel segmentation, and promotional tactics.
  • Lead business planning cycles, manage regional P&L, and deliver on revenue, margin, and market share goals.
  • Drive revenue and profitability across all APAC sales channels, monitor sales performance, and adapt strategies based on market analysis.
  • Manage commercial investments effectively, including marketing funds, rebates, and merchandising support.
  • Establish and nurture strategic collaborations with key partners such as retailers, e-commerce platforms, distributors, and carrier operators across the region.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing, promotional scheduling, and compliance within complex regulatory and commercial landscapes.
  • Implement and scale in-store branding elements including display programs, visual merchandising, logistics, and training tailored per market.
  • Build and lead a culturally diverse, high-achieving commercial team across multiple countries, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Manage the APAC retail budget, forecast accurately, and report business insights with an action-oriented approach.
  • Stay attuned to competitive trends and consumer behaviors to refine strategies and uncover growth opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 12 years in retail sales and commercial leadership within consumer electronics or products, including at least 7 years in senior roles.
  • Proven success establishing and scaling commercial operations in multiple APAC markets, ideally including ANZ, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, with valued experience in China.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse distribution channels including direct retail, e-commerce, wholesale, specialty, and operator/carrier models.
  • Demonstrated ability in building and leading teams across different cultures in rapidly evolving environments.
  • Strong regional P&L management skills, driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Experience handling large marketing budgets, negotiating partner marketing agreements, and optimizing ROI.
  • Expertise in retail visual merchandising and large-scale fixture programs alongside 3PL management and staff training.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills throughout various APAC cultural contexts.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical capabilities and project management experience.

Preferred Attributes

  • Extensive familiarity with APAC retail complexities, including distributor and regulatory nuances.
  • Genuine passion for health technology and enhancing human potential.
  • General management mindset balancing brand, commercial, people, and operational aspects effectively.
  • Proven leadership that inspires accountability and growth among teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with fluent P&L interpretation and confident resource allocation.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Outstanding communication skills commanding respect among partners and senior leadership.
  • High cultural intelligence and adaptability across APAC markets.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits designed to support employee well-being.

Annual salary in Singapore ranges from SGD 239000 to SGD 282000.
