Position Overview

This leadership role is with a partner company seeking a Senior Director of Product Management based in Canada. The role offers a strategic opportunity to influence product direction and lead the development of customer-facing digital platforms within a growing technology environment.

The Senior Director will connect business goals, user needs, and scalable solutions by leading strategic initiatives and maintaining hands-on accountability for product roadmaps, prioritization, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and own long-range product strategies that align with both business goals and customer requirements.
Translate executive priorities into actionable product visions, comprehensive roadmaps, budget plans, and execution frameworks.
Make prioritization choices driven by customer impact, revenue growth potential, operational efficiencies, and risk assessments.
Promote a customer-first product culture utilizing analytics, user research, experimentation, and measurable success indicators.
Lead and mentor senior product managers and leaders to foster a collaborative, ownership-driven, and continuously improving team environment.
Implement consistent product management methodologies, governance, and operational standards across teams.
Create scalable processes for product discovery, backlog prioritization, delivery, and performance evaluation.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, operations, compliance, legal, finance, and marketing to ensure successful product launches and ongoing enhancements.
Ensure product solutions meet business workflow demands, enhance operational efficiency, comply with regulations, and satisfy customer expectations.
Advocate for technical excellence, platform-based thinking, accessibility, and sustainable decision-making in product development.
Drive the integration of advanced product tools and AI-enabled technologies to enhance prototyping and innovation workflows.
Facilitate cross-departmental planning, roadmap alignment sessions, and stakeholder coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

Over 15 years in Product Management, Strategy, or Leadership roles.
8 to 10+ years in senior leadership positions such as Director or Senior Director in product domains.
Proven success delivering complex products within regulated sectors such as financial services, lending, payments, or retail finance.
Experience scaling and modernizing large, mission-critical platform solutions.
Strong capability to lead diverse cross-functional teams across engineering, compliance, risk, finance, and business units.
Demonstrated delivery of measurable business results and enhanced execution reliability.
Exceptional executive-level communication, leadership, and decision-making proficiency.
Hands-on experience with AI-supported prototyping software such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Figma AI.
Deep understanding of customer-centric product innovation, analytics, experimentation, and user research methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or a related discipline.
MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
