Role Overview
This opportunity involves spearheading complex initiatives dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) within organizations, based in Australia. It combines leadership, consulting, facilitation, and strategic problem-solving to deliver transformative organizational impact.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multifaceted DEIB projects, managing all phases from planning to execution.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budgets, resource allocation, and staffing to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to set objectives, devise strategies, and implement impactful solutions promoting equity and inclusion.
- Assess organizational cultures to uncover systemic barriers and design frameworks that foster belonging.
- Conduct workshops and facilitate dialogues with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive cultural change.
- Mentor and support project teams by sharing DEIB expertise and guiding development of high-quality outputs.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve challenges, and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain client relationships through transparent communication, alignment on goals, and regular progress updates.
- Ensure deliverables reflect human-centered and inclusive perspectives to honor diverse experiences and mitigate bias.
- Spot opportunities for expanded client engagement and future initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- In-depth familiarity with contemporary DEIB research, practices, and frameworks.
- Track record of delivering complex projects in consulting, organizational transformation, or design contexts.
- Experience managing budgets, timelines, resources, and risks in project environments.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and motivate them toward successful results.
- Strong client relationship management with capability to build trust and manage expectations.
- Proficiency in facilitating workshops and high-level strategic discussions with executives and boards.
- Application of anti-racist principles, inclusive methods, and human-centered problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated passion for cultivating inclusive environments and leveraging diversity for better solutions.
