Role Overview
Our client is actively searching for a seasoned Director of Operations to oversee and enhance the functioning of a workforce exceeding 130 employees. This pivotal role involves collaboration with Executive Leadership and various cross-functional units such as HR, IT, Finance, Compliance, and Department Leaders to elevate operational efficiency, boost performance metrics, improve employee satisfaction, and facilitate sustainable growth. Ideal candidates will meld strategic foresight with practical leadership capabilities and thrive in a fast-moving, metrics-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operational activities and formulate strategies aligned with long-term corporate goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and accountability frameworks.
- Supervise managers, supervisors, and team leads, promoting a culture characterized by accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead efforts in process enhancements through workflow optimization, automation, and adherence to operational best practices.
- Manage budgets, staffing plans, productivity targets, and operational expenditures within departments.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, workforce planning, employee growth, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies, legal mandates, and industry-specific regulations.
- Engage with leadership across departments to spearhead organizational change initiatives and growth projects.
- Report operational analyses and recommendations directly to executive leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Management, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- More than 10 years of progressive experience in operations leadership roles.
- Minimum of 5 years managing large teams exceeding 100 employees across multiple management layers.
- Demonstrated success in overseeing managers and supervisors within a high-volume, performance-centric setting.
- Proven track record in devising and implementing operational plans and significant corporate projects.
- Strong financial literacy with skills in budgeting, workforce planning, KPI oversight, and performance analysis.
- Excellent leadership, effective communication, coaching abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced competence in Microsoft Office suite and operational reporting software.
- Experience in law firms, professional services, multi-site leadership roles, Lean Six Sigma methodology, or change management is highly advantageous.
