Role Summary
The Senior Director of Marketing Communications will own the company’s brand communication direction and marketing communications structure. The position covers public relations, brand marketing, content distribution, digital marketing, and media engagement, with the broader objective of improving brand visibility, market recognition, and reputation management while supporting business growth and strategic goals.
What You Will Do
- Build annual and long-range marketing communications plans that support the broader business strategy.
- Design and refine the brand communication structure to strengthen brand perception and market awareness.
- Lead integrated marketing communications initiatives across digital and offline channels.
- Handle relationships with mainstream, industry, and emerging media outlets.
- Create and execute external PR plans and support major company events.
- Oversee brand content development, including stories, press materials, case studies, and white papers.
- Direct digital marketing and social media efforts across platforms such as LinkedIn, WeChat, and X.
- Lead crisis communications, including public sentiment tracking and emergency response processes.
- Manage the marketing communications team, including structure, capability building, and performance management.
- Work closely with product, sales, marketing, and strategy teams to accelerate growth and market expansion.
- Plan and control marketing communications budgets to improve return on investment and resource use.
- Contribute to senior leadership decisions and advise on brand and market direction.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.
This role calls for more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications or brand PR, including 5 to 10 years in a leadership position. Experience in brand communication or PR leadership within large enterprises or multinational companies is preferred.
Applicants should understand integrated marketing communications and digital marketing environments, and bring strong media relationships and PR networks. The role also requires strategic judgment, strong collaboration across functions, solid crisis management ability, and effective public sentiment monitoring.
Excellent English communication skills are important, and experience with multinational organizations will be an added advantage. A demonstrated record in team leadership and organizational management is also required.
