Job Overview

Lead the development and execution of the regional commercial strategy for the APAC region at a globally renowned company. This role involves driving growth, shaping commercial strategies, and acting as the primary strategic lever within one of the organization’s most diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a commercial partner to Market Group Heads, providing expertise in commercial matters across channels, leveraging regional and global best practices to influence commercial agendas.
  • Steer and oversee commercial development initiatives such as Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP), portfolio deployment, revenue and pricing strategies, channel execution including necessary adjustments, and other related processes.
  • Offer regional insights to inform global programs by understanding various business units and cross-functional areas crucial for market success.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by maintaining Customer Pulse insights and integrating customer perspectives into leadership discussions.
  • Collaborate with the Global Commercial Development team on implementing global process improvements and embedding digital tools; act as a sponsor and co-owner of digital transformation efforts within the region.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and unite the Regional Commercial Development Team, fostering strong cooperation within the APAC Market Group and coordination with global teams.
  • Manage a team of 13 channel and process leads, driving excellent execution of commercial objectives.
  • Enhance sales channel capabilities by deploying tools and conducting training as needed.

About the Role

The role is a key part of the APAC Leadership Team, reporting to the SVP & GM of the APAC Market Group. It influences regional sales strategies, integrated commercial planning processes, and governance. This position also connects and impacts global commercial development strategies and forums.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent experience in business or commercial disciplines is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience with a proven record in commercial leadership and business performance.
  • Previous P&L responsibility and experience in long-term strategic planning.
  • International work experience is required, with a strong emphasis on the Asia Pacific region.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, notably with senior leaders and regional functions.
  • Expertise in sales processes, governance, and tool implementation.
  • Passion for cross-functional collaboration across sales, marketing, operations, and senior leadership.
  • Proven people management experience demonstrating ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
  • A strong drive for innovation, creativity, and ability to navigate ambiguity in dynamic environments.
  • Willingness to frequently travel within the APAC region.
