Job description

About the role

LinkedIn is a global professional platform focused on helping people build meaningful connections, find new opportunities, develop skills, and gain insights. The company also invests in employee growth and aims to foster a workplace grounded in trust, care, inclusion, and enjoyment.

This position sits within the Deal Desk function, which advises the Field Sales organisation and supports the Order to Cash process for complex deal structures and customer requests. The team helps sales operate more efficiently, improve profitability, and maintain tighter controls while freeing them to focus on selling.

This role follows a flexible working approach. It is hybrid, so work is split between home and a LinkedIn office on selected days depending on business needs.

As a Senior Deal Desk Strategist, you will use your knowledge of pricing, policy, and deal structuring to support sales teams through complex commercial arrangements. You will partner with internal stakeholders to help drive growth, strengthen processes, and improve the overall sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help the Deal Desk team provide strong support to internal and external stakeholders across several markets and business segments.
  • Serve as a trusted guide for sales teams on pricing, deal design, and handling complicated customer requests.
  • Work closely with sales and cross-functional partners such as legal, credit, and revenue teams to deliver a smooth customer experience.
  • Spot process bottlenecks and improve workflows, tools, and operating methods to support scale and better profitability.
  • Track KPIs and look for opportunities to improve them through process changes, system enhancements, or smarter use of resources.
  • Coach, train, and develop Deal Desk team members across the global team.
  • Act as an escalation contact for Order to Cash issues involving clients, sales teams, and internal partners, and help resolve them quickly.
  • Advise internal teams on system tools and on how to create and execute complex and high-value deals.
  • Share updates and training with the global Deal Desk team about upcoming system changes to support adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Recognise differences across regions and address location-specific requirements proactively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal partners and back-office teams, and serve as the main contact for Deal Desk questions and concerns.
  • Work directly with clients when needed to help resolve Order to Cash problems.
  • Lead by example in embracing change, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Go the extra mile to support sales teams and clients through complex processes and business challenges.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, or the full Order to Cash cycle.
  • A BA/BS degree or an equivalent qualification in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to change and perform well in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, along with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Quick learner who can work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative setting.
  • Good business judgment and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work well within a cohesive team.
  • Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Experience leading initiatives or managing teams is preferred.
  • Comfort using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Dynamics 365, and Oracle is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a high transaction volume accurately and with integrity.
