Job description

Role overview

We are looking for a seasoned digital strategy and marketing analytics professional to join a client-facing engagement focused on cloud marketing. This fixed-term consulting role calls for someone who can bring structure to ambiguity, advise senior leaders with confidence, and turn data-heavy work into clear strategic direction. You will operate like a trusted advisor within a complex, matrixed organization, helping maintain continuity of priorities while also elevating the quality and speed of decision-making.

The position is suited to someone who is comfortable working at the intersection of strategy, analytics, marketing operations, and executive communications. You should be able to think ahead, anticipate risks, and consistently deliver polished work that supports leadership decisions.

Please note that working hours for this role follow the Pacific Time Zone.

About the team

You will join the Technology and Transformation practice, working closely with a high-performing group that partners directly with clients to improve and evolve operations. This engagement sits inside a major marketing strategy and operations transformation in the global technology sector. The role offers the chance to contribute to a new strategy and operations capability from the outset, with visible impact from day one.

What you will do

  • Act as a dependable strategic advisor to senior stakeholders at the Senior Manager, Director, and Vice President levels.
  • Turn open-ended leadership questions into clear problem statements, hypotheses, research plans, and recommendations.
  • Help shape periodic and annual marketing strategy by combining internal performance data, market signals, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.
  • Carry out structured market and competitor research to strengthen strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Work across marketing, go-to-market, product, risk, governance, finance, and research teams to gather inputs and align on direction.
  • Translate complex analysis and technical findings into concise, decision-ready messages for executives.
  • Create and present executive-level slide decks, strategy briefs, and leadership communications with strong narrative flow and visual clarity.
  • Identify practical ways to use AI, including generative AI and automation, to improve research, planning, content creation, and analytics workflows.
  • Share reusable AI use cases and assets that can help scale adoption across the organization.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in digital strategy, marketing analytics, marketing science, or strategy and operations, gained in consulting, an agency, or a technology/cloud marketing environment.
  • A track record of leading strategic work from start to finish, including problem framing, analysis design, stakeholder alignment, and recommendation delivery.
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to present complex performance data and market insights clearly to Director- and Vice President-level audiences.
  • Working technical knowledge of the modern marketing data stack, including SQL, ETL or data integration workflows, and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar.
  • Understanding of digital marketing methods and measurement, including funnel analytics, campaign performance, audience segmentation, first-party data strategy, and go-to-market planning across paid, programmatic, and digital channels.
  • Experience guiding analysts or technical contributors by setting direction, reviewing quality, and translating outputs into business implications.
  • Ability to work effectively in large, fast-moving, matrixed technology organizations with multiple competing priorities.
  • Comfort using AI productivity tools such as Gemini, Copilot, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred background

  • Experience in the technology sector, especially within large-scale marketing, cloud, or enterprise software organizations.
  • Exposure to MarTech ecosystems and digital experience platforms, including CMS tools, customer data platforms, analytics platforms, and data activation solutions such as Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, or Hightouch.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms and warehouse environments such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift.
  • Familiarity with operating model design, content supply chain governance, or digital transformation roadmaps in multi-market or global settings.
  • Background in annual planning, budget allocation, strategic prioritization, or executive governance processes.
  • Experience leading change, process transformation, or the launch of a new function.
  • Exposure to building or using AI agents or automated workflows to reduce manual effort and improve support at scale.
  • An MBA, MSc in Marketing Analytics, or another advanced degree is an asset, but not mandatory.

Compensation and rewards

The salary range for this role is CAD 80,000 to CAD 120,000 annually. Eligible individuals may also participate in a bonus program. The broader rewards package includes competitive pay, variable compensation opportunities, paid vacation, mental health support benefits valued at $4,000 per year, a $1,300 flexible benefits account, firm-wide closure days known as Deloitte Days, learning-focused Development and Innovation Days, and flexible hybrid working arrangements.
