This position is a hybrid role blending remote and office work in alignment with team needs, with office locations in San Francisco, Mountain View, or New York. The role is full-time within LinkedIn's Corporate Brand Marketing team, focusing on crafting brand strategies across key business lines. Collaborating closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Integrated Marketing teams, you will translate audience insights, market contexts, and corporate priorities into actionable go-to-market plans. Your work will strengthen LinkedIn's competitive edge, clarify product value to audiences, create synergy across the product suite, and emphasize our leadership in the future of work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive brand strategies for upcoming products and features that include distinctive positioning, clear naming conventions, and compelling messaging.
- Establish category positioning and core narratives to steer marketing strategies, support sales enablement, and inspire product innovation across business lines.
- Lead research initiatives targeting opportunities for LinkedIn to succeed by analyzing audience perceptions, purchase motivators, product ideas, naming, and messaging effectiveness.
- Collaborate in designing annual marketing strategies with partners, specifying objectives, target audiences, and thematic pillars.
- Formulate detailed marketing briefs for campaigns ensuring they align with LinkedIn's unique value and annual strategy.
- Create frameworks and tools that enable teams to consistently produce clear, consistent brand strategies.
- Integrate insights and findings across teams to enhance the effectiveness and coherence of marketing initiatives and channels.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years of experience in brand strategy, brand management, product marketing, or related disciplines, with proven accountability for strategic direction.
- At least 4 years crafting naming, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market frameworks for global brands, preferably within technology sectors, B2B environments, or multi-faceted portfolios.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage brand strategy across diverse portfolios within complex organizational structures.
- Strong grasp of both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) branding, products, and services.
- Expertise in developing brand positioning, value propositions, messaging hierarchies, and storytelling for brands and products.
- Experience leading naming conventions, facilitating workshops, and applying research methods related to naming.
- Proven record collaborating cross-functionally and internationally with teams including product marketing, research, communications, legal, and branding to harmonize stakeholder feedback.
- Skilled at conducting qualitative and quantitative research forms such as driver analysis, sentiment studies, diary methods, concept evaluations, semiotic interpretation, and surveys.
- Adept at crafting annual marketing blueprints, campaign guidelines, and product launch plans.
- Exceptional communication capabilities, both written and spoken, with sound judgment and empathy to distill intricate topics into accessible concepts.
- Independent, self-driven individual able to juggle numerous initiatives while coordinating effectively with diverse teams.
Compensation and Additional Information
The salary range for this role lies between 130000 and 203000 USD per year. Compensation packages are tailored unique to each candidate based on experience, certifications, skills, and work location. The total remuneration may also include performance bonuses, equity, benefits, and supplementary incentives.
