Senior Analyst - Pricing

Role overview

Wesco is hiring a Senior Analyst - Pricing to prepare quotations, bids, proposals, and related sales documents for customer requests. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, product, and other internal teams to make sure responses are complete, correct, and delivered on time. The position also handles especially complex or high-value quotation requests.

What you'll do

• Evaluate possible projects for bidding and compile the required materials list, including supplies, lighting, switchgear, and other distribution equipment.
• Work with customer-facing consultants to secure bid approvals.
• Coordinate with suppliers on product specifications, validate bill of materials details, negotiate pricing, and source alternatives for special or custom items.
• Support negotiations with suppliers and customers.
• Prepare material take-offs for data communications, switchgear, apparatus, lighting, and related items for customer quotations.
• Gather all information needed to complete and submit final quotations.
• Resolve customer issues that arise during the bidding cycle.
• Track open quotations with sales teams and customers and follow up on pending status updates.
• Coordinate with account representatives, account executives, and inside sales teams to ensure quotations and resulting orders are complete.
• Spot possible sales or cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base.
• Promote cross-selling with business partners during project bid and tender stages.
• Process project orders, coordinate with the inventory team, and work with customer-appointed logistics partners.
• Compile and submit project documents according to customer project requirements.
• Work within strict deadlines for bid, tender, and documentation submission.
• Communicate with overseas customers, vendors, and business partners outside regular office hours when required because of time zone differences.

Requirements

• High school education or an equivalent qualification is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Background in assembling complete bid packages.
• Strong understanding of product lines and pricing approaches.
• Experience discussing pricing and securing cooperation from customers and supplier representatives.
• Ability to interpret specifications and blueprints.
• Good numerical, analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Strong computer literacy.
