About the Role
Qiddiya Investment Company is looking for a seasoned and forward-thinking finance leader to take on the Director - Group Accounting position. In this senior leadership role, you will own the group accounting function and help shape the organization’s financial reporting structure and accounting framework.
You will be responsible for steering the consolidation of group-wide financial statements, maintaining compliance with international financial reporting standards, and delivering clear financial insights that support business decisions. This role is central to improving both the precision and efficiency of reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the group accounting team in producing consolidated financial statements aligned with IFRS and applicable local accounting standards.
- Create, refine, and enforce accounting policies, processes, and internal controls that protect financial accuracy and regulatory adherence.
- Oversee the delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate effectively with external auditors and relevant authorities throughout audits and compliance assessments.
- Deliver strategic financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Track updates in accounting standards and regulations, evaluate their implications, and lead the required organizational adjustments.
- Champion ongoing improvements in the group accounting function to raise reporting quality and operational efficiency.
- Coach and build the capability of accounting team members while promoting a strong performance-driven culture.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required; advanced qualifications or certifications such as CPA or ACCA are strongly preferred.
- At least 12 years of progressive experience in group accounting, including substantial leadership exposure in a comparable position.
- Deep understanding of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance obligations.
- Strong strategic judgment, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proven ability to handle complex financial reporting in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable using accounting systems and advanced Excel functionality.
