Overview
Crane Worldwide Logistics is a global leader in supply chain services, operating in over 130 locations across 30 countries. The Senior Air Operations Agent in the Time Critical team plays a vital role in managing shipment documentation, routing, rate negotiations, and customer service for ground and air freight movements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review documents such as airline bills, motor carrier bills of lading, export/import declarations, and trade compliance paperwork.
- Maintain precise records adhering to corporate standards and regulatory mandates.
- Choose the most efficient transportation mode for U.S. and Canadian cross-border shipments, balancing cost and service quality.
- Negotiate competitive rates and establish service agreements with carriers including UPS, DHL, FedEx, and freight forwarders.
- Monitor carrier performance and recommend partnerships that optimize cost and reliability.
- Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely shipment clearance and resolve brokerage issues.
- Support sales teams by providing accurate freight quotes and identifying cost-effective shipping solutions.
- Audit freight bills for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with carriers to control expenses.
- Serve as primary contact for clients regarding shipment statuses, resolving complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to enhance customer loyalty.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by management.
Skills and Competencies

Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of experience in freight operations, logistics, or a related environment.
- Minimum two years’ hands-on experience working with motor carriers, freight forwarders, or express couriers.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or logistics preferred.
