Role Overview
Lex Consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant specializing in Investments for a reputable global financial services company located in Dublin. This position is ideal for a qualified accounting professional aiming to advance their skills in investment accounting, financial reporting, and technical accounting within an international setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting for investment portfolios, including management, board, GAAP, statutory, and external reports.
- Prepare and examine investment-related journal entries, reconciliations, and valuation assessments.
- Handle accounting functions connected to Private Credit and Private Equity investments.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with SOX 404 standards.
- Support audit processes and coordinate with both internal and external parties.
- Deliver technical accounting advice for complex investment and derivative transactions under US GAAP.
- Engage in finance projects, process enhancements, and broader reporting initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified accountant designation such as CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of experience at a Big Four audit firm, preferably with exposure to investments or asset management sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP, specifically ASC 320, ASC 815, ASC 820, and ASC 825.
- Familiarity with SOX 404 controls and reporting for public companies is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset paired with meticulous attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with general ledger software and financial reporting tools is advantageous.
