Accountant (m/w/d)

Role Overview

As an Accountant (m/w/d), you will play a vital role in operational financial accounting, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely processing of all accounting business processes. You will actively assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and contribute to the advancement of digital accounting workflows.

Main Responsibilities

• Independently record and post current business transactions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and asset accounting.
• Carefully review and post incoming and outgoing bank transfers.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Support travel expense and reimbursement accounting.
• Create and maintain accounting procedures within the Sage 100 system (FiBU & WaWi modules).
• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB standards.
• Submit reports to external bodies such as professional associations, chambers of commerce, statistical offices, and employers' associations.
• Contribute to the development, optimization, and digitalization of accounting processes in Sage 100, including e-invoicing, OCR, and electronic purchase requisitions.
• Act as a contact person for auditors, tax consultants, and internal departments.
• Handle general administrative tasks within Finance and Controlling.

Candidate Profile

Professional Requirements

• Completed studies in economics, business administration, finance, accounting, or a commercial apprenticeship with additional certification (e.g., Certified Accountant: Bilanzbuchhalter IHK).
• Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in accounting standards according to HGB; IFRS knowledge beneficial.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, especially Sage 100.
• Advanced Excel skills and confident use of other MS Office applications.
• Good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
