Responsibilities
- Take ownership of important general ledger areas, including preparing and reviewing journal entries.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and look into any differences or unusual movements.
- Help run month-end and year-end close activities so financial reporting stays accurate and on time.
- Prepare internal financial schedules and reports for leadership use.
- Assist with external audits by organizing support schedules and replying to auditor questions.
- Help strengthen accounting procedures, documentation, and internal control practices.
- Work closely with Operations, Sales, and other internal teams to keep financial information accurate.
- Support accounting processes tied to ERP systems and contribute to workflow improvements.
- Look for ways to improve efficiency and make accounting operations easier to scale.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
- CPA certification, or being on track for CPA eligibility, is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in public accounting is required.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting is needed.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines are important.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are expected.
- Advanced Excel skills are required.
- Prior exposure to ERP systems is preferred.
